The Graveside Service for Mr. Kenneth Bernard Solomon of Montezuma, Georgia will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Montezuma, Georgia with Reverend Jamaica Kelly, officiating. Due to COVID-19 concerns, we ask that you MASK UP and continue social distancing for your protection and for the safety of others.

Kenneth Bernard Solomon, affectionately called “Buddy” by his family and “B” by his friends, was born on June 19, 1965 in Macon County, Georgia to the late Patricia Solomon Biddle and James Dennis. He grew up in Montezuma and attended the public schools of the county. At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ as his savior. He was a member of New Piney Grove Baptist Church. He was a 1983 graduate of D.F. Douglass High School and was a member of the mighty D.F. Douglass Hornets football team. His hobbies included playing football and basketball. He enjoyed listening to music and cooking on the grill with his cousin. He was a “wanna be” mechanic who loved to pull up YouTube videos and work on his vehicles.

Mr. Solomon was previously employed at Tyson Foods in Vienna, Georgia and Rapid Packing in Perry, Georgia. His most recent place of employment was Ecoflo Company, Inc. in Americus, Georgia.

On Thursday, December 31, 2020, Kenneth Bernard Solomon departed this earthly life for eternal life. He passed away at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. His life, his love, and his laughter will forever be cherished by his daughters: Katrice (Michael) James of Peekskill, New York and Lesley Rockamore of Connecticut; his grandchildren: Michael and Kyzia James of Peekskill, New York; his father, James Dennis of Montezuma, Georgia; his brother, Kevin (Tracy) Solomon of Fort Valley, Georgia; his half-brothers: Michael Oliver and Darrell McDonald; his nephew, Rakim Solomon of Texas; devoted aunts: Dorothy Solomon of Montezuma, Georgia and Peggy (James) Hankerson of Oglethorpe, Georgia; devoted cousins: Barbara Solomon Greer and John Solomon of Montezuma, Georgia; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Deepest condolences to the family.  We were sadden to hear of Kenneth passing.  He will be missed.
