The Homegoing Celebration for Deacon Price Bryant III of Henderson, Georgia will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, 8620 Highway 26 East, Montezuma, Georgia 31063. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Price Bryant III was born on January 20, 1941, in Houston County, Georgia to his late parents Price Bryant Jr. and Hattie Mae Mathis Bryant. Price was the youngest son of 13 children and lived a life rich with faith, family, and dedication.
From an early age, Price accepted Christ into his life, marking the beginning of his unwavering commitment to his faith. He was baptized at New Bethel Baptist Church of Unadilla, Georgia, where he worshiped for many years and served as a Sunday school teacher since the age of 19 before transferring his membership to New Hope Baptist Church of Montezuma, Georgia, in the early 1990s. At New Hope, Price became an integral part of the church community, serving in many roles, including Chairman of the Deacon Board in 2001. His love for God was the cornerstone of his life, and his actions reflected his deep devotion to living a Christ-centered existence.
Price’s educational journey began at Flint River School in Montezuma, Georgia, and culminated with his graduation from Houston County Training School in the Spring of 1959. He then attended trade school in Atlanta, Georgia, where he learned to repair televisions and radios. However, his life was rooted in the land of his family farm in Henderson, Georgia, where he worked alongside his loved ones since childhood. In addition to his farm work, Price spent several years at Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery before transitioning to a fulfilling career at Keebler Company, where he worked until his retirement in March 2003.
On December 1, 1963, Price was united in holy matrimony to Rosie Mae Brown. Their union was blessed with three sons: Terence Bryant, Rodney Bryant Sr., and Price Bryant IV. Rosie and Price were devoted to each other for 61 years, sharing a partnership grounded in mutual respect, love, and unwavering support.
Throughout his life, Price was known for his strength of character and his no-nonsense approach to life. He was a man of few words but when he spoke, people listened. His sharp intellect, kindness, and articulate nature made him a respected figure in both his family and community. Price’s work ethic was unmatched, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Above all, there was no doubt about how much he loved his family and God. Price leaves behind a legacy of faith, hard work, and dedication that will continue to inspire all who knew him. He was not only a role model to his sons, but to countless others who looked to him for guidance and wisdom. His presence will be deeply missed, but his impact will never be forgotten.
Price was called home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2025. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Aaron, Lillian, Melvin, William, Carolyn, Patsy, Delma, Thelma, Marilyn; and his sons: Terence and Rodney.
