The funeral Service for Mr. Marion Fye, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 2870 Headland Drive, East Point, Georgia. Interment will follow on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Dudley Memorial Cemetery, Dublin, Georgia.

Marion Franklin Fye, Jr. was born on May 14, 1946 in Dublin, Georgia to the late Rev. Marion Franklin Fye, Sr. and Addie Lee Mathis Fye. He departed this life on February 19, 2020 at his home in Atlanta, Georgia.

Marion was educated in the public schools of Dublin, Georgia and at Boggs Academy in Keysville, Georgia. He graduated from Morehouse College, Atlanta, Georgia, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree, majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Economics and Religion. He received a Master of Divinity Degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Marion was an accountant for over thirty years. He was a member of Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church in East Point, Georgia and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Precious memories will always remain with his loving family which includes his devoted friend, Gail Anderson-Nunn of Atlanta, Georgia; his brother, Edward Mathis Fye, Sr, (Dorothy) of College Park, Georgia; his sister, Chiquita A. Fye, MD of Montezuma, Georgia; cousins: Jasmine Ellis (Alfred) of Fort Valley, Georgia and James Dawson, Jr. (Arlene) of Ellenwood, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ms. Suzette Richardson

Ms. Suzette Richardson was born on May 8, 1971 in Belle Glade, Florida to the late Mrs. Emma Richardson and the late Jimmy Richardson. She attended the public schools of Americus and Sumter County. Suzette passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. at the Zion Hope Baptist Church in Americus, GA with Rev. Ted Walters officiating. Burial will follow at the Eastview Cemetery.

 
Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters: Takeshia (Christopher) Lawson-Rogers and Kimberly Richardson both of Americus, GA; one son-in-law, Christopher Rogers; three grandchildren: Tyrik Lawson, Caiden Rogers and Kamrynn Rogers all of Americus, Georgia; a host of cousins including very special cousins: Rev. Ted (Trudy) Walters of Vidalia, GA, Roy (Thiretha) Foster of West Palm Beach, FL, Michael Walters of Warner Robins, GA Kyle (Stacey) Walters, Debra Griffin, Shunda (David) Green, Cassandra Walters, Barbara Walters, Felicia (Randy) Johnson, all of Americus, GA, Robert & Kelvin Maye of West Palm Beach, FL and Corey Lockett of Americus, GA; a devoted companion, Sammy “Pete” Brown, and a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Mrs. Marizela Valdes Munns

Marizela Valdes Munns of Americus, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Magnolia Manor. A private memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced later by West’s Mortuary.

Marizela was born on February 26, 1956 in Panama. She worked as District Manager at Winn Dixie for several years. She was married to Bobby Munns for over 35 years.

Memories of her beautiful life are left with her husband, Bobby Munns of Americus, Georgia; her children: Andrei Valdes, Irina Valdes and Adrian Valdes; her sister, Indra Navarro; nieces: Sully Young and Diana Ramos; nephew Carlos Young and wife Shannon Young; brother-in-law, Alvaro Madrid; other loving relatives and friends.

Mrs. Annie Boone

The funeral service for Annie Maude Boone of Americus, Georgia will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of West’s Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Eastview Cemetery.

Annie Maude Boone was born in Americus, GA on January 8, 1938 to the late Yoke Floyd and the late Sarah Marshall.  She attended the Sumter County Public Schools.  Annie was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, arts and crafts. She died at the age of 82 on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at the Phebe-Sumter Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Troy Boone Sr. and her partner of over 35 years Otis Alford, her daughter Surhone Boone, her sister Kate Willis, and her aunt Liz Shephard. 

She is survived by six children: Diane Boone, Tray Boone, Mae Boone (Fred Dennis Carter II), Sarah Boone (Dewayne Walters), Suzzette Boone, Jeffery Boone (Carrie Mann). She also raised two of her grandchildren as her own; Brianna Boone (Kourtney Bridges) and Jeremy Boone (Tyrisha Garvin) and a niece, Mary (Keishia) Mcdougald; one nephew, Tommie Willis; three sisters-in-law: Fannie Boone of New Jersey, Bessie Mae Alford and Ossie Mae James both of Panama, FL; one brother-in-law, Arthur Boone Sr. of New Jersey; seventeen grandchildren including a devoted grandson, Fred Dennis “Lil D” Carter, III, twenty-four great grandchildren including Jayln and Javion Boone. Also, a host of other relatives and loved ones.

The graveside service for Mr. Adrian Ingram of Americus, Georgia will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. at Staley Memorial Gardens.

Adrian Vernon Ingram, affectionately known as “Pete” and “Pee Sweet”, was born in Americus, Georgia on September 13, 1984 to Mrs. Betty Jo Ingram Williams and Mr. John Lee Williams. He attended Americus High School and was in the class of 2003.  Adrian was baptized at an early age at Mountain Creek AME Church, Andersonville, Georgia. He loved and admired his family very much.

Adrian departed this earthly life on February 3, 2020 and will always be in our hearts. He was preceded in death by his father, John Lee Williams, his twin Andre Ingram, his sister Joanna Williams, grandparents Elizabeth Davis, Joe Lewis Ingram and John Tot, his nephew Bradley Green, and aunts JoAnn Davis and Louise Adams.

Adrian leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Betty Jo Ingram Williams; his goddaughters: Miranda Merritt, Alaysha Merritt and KiKandra Merritt; his brothers: Donyall Ingram and David Williams; his sisters: Porsha Ingram, Kiesha Ingram, Miya Ingram, Brittany Ingram, Tiffany Williams, Lucinda Dodson-Nelson, Theresa Adams and Lynn Cooper; his grandmother: Gladys Williams; aunts: Bobbie Jean Davis, Christine (Tom) Davis, Brenda Ingram, Jaqueline Davis (Winford) Holmes; his uncles: James Davis, Melvin Davis, Gregory Ingram and Charles Terry; his god-mother: Madia Greene; great uncle, Jesse Ingram; great aunts: Nellie Mae Long, Dorothy Robinson and Betty Sue Combs; two devoted nephews: Jayden Ingram and Dakavien McDonald; two devoted cousins: Monrondas Merritt and Tyrone Welborne; three devoted friends: Terry Miles, Wade Battle and Lenardo Williams; and his faithful companion, his dog, Elizabeth “Liz” (his favorite girl).

The Graveside Service for Mr. Edward Loftly of Montezuma, Georgia will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, 8620 GA Hwy 26E, Montezuma, Georgia.

Mr. Edward Loftly, son of the late Mollie Kaigler Loftly and L.B. Loftly, Sr. was born on June 27, 1947 in Montezuma, Georgia. He grew up in Montezuma and attended the historic Flint River Farms School. As a young adult, he lived and worked in Connecticut for a number of years. He moved back home to Georgia in 1989 and had various jobs. His most recent place of employment was Sydney Lanier Farms.

Edward departed this life on Monday, February 3, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his brothers Benjamin Loftly and L.B. Loftly, Jr.

Precious memories will always remain with his loving family which includes his sisters: Mary Covington, Burnell Story and Lounell Rackley (Leonard) all of Montezuma, Georgia; his brother, Boiesy Loftly (Bessie) of Oglethorpe, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
