Mr. Willie Worthy was born on February 16, 1928, to the parentage of the late Mr. J. C. and Mrs. Ollie Worthy in Marietta, Georgia. He gave his life to Christ at an early age, under the Late Pastor Phillip Smith. After leaving Marietta, he moved to Macon, Georgia before coming to Americus, which has been his home for the past 64 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, J. C. Worthy, Jr. and two sisters: Ms. Romana Worthy and Mrs. Cora Brown. Mr. Worthy connected with The Union Tabernacle Baptist Church on June 6, 2001 under the pastorage of Reverend Larry B Sims, Sr. He loved singing and could always be heard singing along with the Choir whenever he was in attendance. He was a faithful and dedicated member and attended services regularly until his health deteriorated. Union Tabernacle was his Family and he was dearly loved by all. He touched the hearts and lives of so many in the Church Family and in this community.
Mr. Worthy died on his birthday, February 16, 2022 at the Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.
A memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 1:00 at Union Tabernacle Baptist Church. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, it will not be open to the public but it will be live streamed on the church website.

A Graveside Service for Mrs. Lilly Rose Hall will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Hill Cemetery on Old Dawson Road in Americus, Georgia.

Mrs. Gwendolyn Williams Galloway of Americus, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, Americus, Georgia. The Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Eastview Cemetery, Americus, Georgia.
