He had one of those heart melting, infectious smiles that could totally disarm you, even if you thought you were mad with him. He was very opinionated, but respectful to his elders and others. He had an enormous heart and did not hesitate to help others he encountered that he believed that he could help. Jerod accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in 2014 and shortly thereafter became an active member of the Masonic Order.

Jerod was a graduate of Stone Mountain High School, class of 2002. After high school, he studied Computer Technology at Georgia State University and pursued Certification in Cosmetology from the Hair School. He finally settled on becoming a self-employed Master Barber, where he labored up until the Pandemic in 2020. He was also an avid music lover to the extent that he created a music studio in his basement where he would spend most of his waking hours when he was not in the barber shop.
