The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Rodney Bryant, Sr. will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024, at New Hope Baptist Church, 8620 GA Hwy 26 E, Montezuma, Georgia with Pastor Allen Waters, officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

Rodney Bryant Sr. was born November 29, 1965, in Houston County, Georgia to proud parents, Rosie and Price Bryant III. At an early age, Rodney accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized at New Bethel Baptist Church of Unadilla, Georgia.

Rodney was educated in the Houston County school system and graduated from Perry High School, Perry, Georgia in 1983. He went on to further his education at South Georgia Technical and Vocational School where he received his diploma in aircraft maintenance technology in the fall of 1986. Immediately after graduation, Rodney found employment in his desired field at Warner Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia until he transitioned his employment to United Airlines and relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana with his family in 2000. In 2003 Rodney moved back to Georgia and worked at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia until 2012. Rodney was never a stranger to hard work and often times you would find him helping tend to the family farm throughout his life.

Rodney was united in holy matrimony in July of 2003 to Theresa Lewis Bryant. Though this relationship wasn't permanent, they did have two children together, and Rodney was the proud bonus dad to two children.

There are so many stories that can be told from family and friends alike but it’s agreeable to say that Rodney was one of a kind. Rodney Bryant Sr. answered his heavenly call on April 6, 2024. He was preceded in death by his brother Terence Bryant.

Rodney will forever be cherished and loved by his family. He leaves behind his parents: Rosie and Price Bryant III of Elko, Georgia; his brother, Price (Nicole) Bryant IV of Macon, Georgia; his children: Chayla Bryant of Centerville, Georgia, Rodney Bryant II of Nashville, Tennessee, Tyechia (Corey) Hall of Kathleen, Georgia, and Detereayas Fulks of Montezuma, Georgia; his godson, Allen Collier of Albany, Georgia; eleven grandchildren; uncles and aunts: Mae Lee Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio, Annie Grant and David Ducree of Fort Myers, Florida, Gladys Bryant of Warner Robins, Georgia, Carolyn West of Byron, Georgia, Arabelle (Oscar) Chaney and Thelma Bryant of Unadilla, Georgia, Lillian Williams, Curtis Bryant, and Helen (Wallace) Hill of Rochester, New York; a host of cousins and friends that love him dearly, to include devoted cousins: Shirley Bryant, Lynorris Holmes Sr., Darryl Bryant, Donald Bryant Sr., Granada Ridley Sr., and Donnie Brown Sr.
