Cynthia Ann Nixon was born January 17, 1958 in New Brunswick, New Jersey to the late Robert and Ola Mae Nixon. Cynthia departed this life into eternal rest on March 12, 2024 in Albany, Georgia.

Cynthia was the younger of two siblings. She spent most of her early childhood growing up in Newark, New Jersey. She was educated in the New Jersey school system. She was employed at the Silvers Bakery and was a Domestic worker for many years, accustomed to the care of the home or family affairs of her employer and was a dedicated Home Health Care technician.

During her early childhood, Cynthia attended the New Testament Pentecostal Holiness Church under the Pastoral care and Leadership of her aunt Rev. Louise Williams for many years. She loved singing in the children’s choir and participating in Easter and Christmas plays.

In June 1988, her mother decided to relocate to Americus, Georgia to take care of her sister.  Cynthia and her two children Jennifer and Ivory moved with her. The family transitioned well and Cynthia met many new friends.

On October 31, 2021, Cynthia made a decision to accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour.  She was so happy and excited about her new relationship with God. She enjoyed praying and listening to great sermons of the gospel of Jesus Christ and Christian music.

Cynthia was an amazing friendly person full of joy and laughter. She loved spending time with her family and special friends, and always enjoyed eating good food and watching her favorite TV programs especially, the Andy Griffith Show.  She had a special talent to make you laugh until you cried, even when you were having a bad day.
