The Funeral Service for Mrs. Annie Neal Collier of Montezuma, Georgia will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023, at noon at Magnolia Baptist Church, 415 Hosie Waters Street, Montezuma, Georgia. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Annie Neal McKenzie Collier was born October 14, 1944, to the late Mrs. Maggie Killens McKenzie and Mr. Neal “Bosh” McKenzie. She was the eighth of eight children born to this union. On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, our beautiful angel was called home to her Heavenly Father. Her sisters Mary Magdalene, Aileen, Georgia, Hilda, Dot, and brother Otis all preceded her in death.

Annie Neal was educated in the public school system of Macon County, as she attended the historic D. F. Douglass High School. She was married to Mr. Willie H. Collier, Sr. They were blessed with three beautiful children. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Collier loved to read and always encouraged her children, grandchildren, and others in the community to do well in school. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed attending games. She was a member of the Booster Club, PTA and faithfully worked in the concession stands for many years. She was always willing to go the extra mile for the kids in the community. She selflessly shared her love for others through preparing delicious meals for family, friends, and her community. She helped others in love without expecting anything in return, often giving others rides to church, doctors’ appointments, or by simply running errands. Her hands were rarely still. She was employed with the Macon County School System as a Culinary Artist, where she worked for many years until her retirement.

Annie Neal was a faithful and dedicated member of the Magnolia Baptist Church in Montezuma, Georgia. She served faithfully over the years with the Senior Choir, youth department, The Third District Union, Easter Program, Vacation Bible School, the Southwest Association, the Missionary Ministry, Sunday School, and the Kitchen Ministry. She assisted other departments whenever called upon. She also frequented many other churches in the community, as she truly loved the Lord.

During her lifetime, her beautiful and caring spirit touched the lives of many. Her memory will be forever cherished by her husband, Willie Collier Sr.; her children: Willie Collier Jr, Melony (Donald) Young, and Sonya Collier Martin; her grandchildren: Jaworski (Kendra) Tookes, Jeremy Young, Whitney L. Collier, Keiara I. Collier, and Kenton Collier; her  great-grandchildren: Christian Tookes, Jalani Tookes, Kenedi Tookes, Kendal Jackson, Hailie Dunlap, and Bailey Dunlap; her loving and caring sister, Cora P.
