Mr. Freddie Zachary Calloway, Jr. was born on January 9, 1954, in Americus, Georgia. He was the son of Mrs. Ozie Calloway and the late Mr. Freddie Calloway, Sr. of Saginaw, Michigan. Fred Jr., as he was affectionately called by family, was the first born to this union. Educated in Americus public schools, Fred Jr. was a 1973 graduate of Americus High School, Americus, Georgia. At an early age, he joined Big Bethel Baptist Church, North Jackson Street, Americus, Georgia. For years Fred Jr. worked at Cooper Lighting until he discovered his passion for truck driving. He drove trucks for Joe Underwood Trucking, Americus, Georgia and Western Trucking. Fred Jr. departed this life on August 15, 2022.

Memories will be cherished forever by his mother, Ozie Calloway of Buena Vista, Georgia; loving siblings: Connie (Clyde) Anthony of Americus, Georgia, Steve Calloway of Dublin, Georgia, Belinda (Larry) Ware of Rex, Georgia, Shelia (Kelvin) Raven of Hope Mills, North Carolina, Robert Calloway, Sr. of Unadilla, Georgia, and Mary Ann Calloway Neal of High Point, North Carolina; loving nieces and nephews: Melba Anthony (Rod) Mitchell of Perry, Georgia, LaKendra Anthony (Dwayne) Wakefield and Darrell Anthony of Americus, Georgia, Travis Anthony of Columbus, Georgia, Stephanie Calloway of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Sheena Calloway of Warner Robins, Georgia, Courtney Ware (Chris) Lett and Brandon Ware of Scottdale, Georgia, Jasmine Raven (Gregory) Haskins of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, Ryan (Taylor) Raven of Hope Mills, North Carolina, Corey (Allyson) Raven of Wendell, North Carolina, Erin Raven (Lavon) Wynn of Durham, North Carolina, Shayeedah Calloway (Milton) Perkins of Converse, Texas, Robert Calloway, Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama, Deborah Calloway, Morey Elby and Shay Elby of High Point, North Carolina; other nieces and nephews also survive; one loving aunt, Margaret Mathis of Americus, Georgia; a host of loving cousins and friends also survive

Public viewing for Mr. Calloway will be on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 12:00 Noon to 7:00 P.M. at West's Mortuary in Americus, Georgia

Sending my condolences to Fred family.  I am so sorry for your loss.we have to take comfort in God when he tell us that  we can see our love ones again at. John 5:28,29. Where he talks about the  resurrection.

Many prayers and warm thoughts are sent to Fred’s family during this difficult time. May the Almighty God give them the strength to endure and remember the good times shared with him. He was a very pleasant young man.
