The Memorial Service for Minister Willie James Marshall of Rochester, New York will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Shade Arnold Baptist Church Cemetery, Montezuma, Georgia with Reverend Dr. George Porter, Jr., officiating. Due to COVID-19 concerns, we ask that you MASK UP and continue to practice social distancing for your protection and for the protection of others.

Willie James Marshall was born March 19, 1952, in Macon County, Georgia to the late Mark James and Rosa Lee Walters Marshall. He was educated at the Flint River Farms School and graduated from D.F. Douglass High School in Montezuma, Georgia. Willie accepted Jesus Christ in his life at an early age. He was employed with Southern Frozen Foods as a forklift driver.  Later he was employed with C. Marshall Ground Services and Prestige Catering. Willie was a hard worker. Later he was called into the ministry. He loved preaching God’s word. Minister Willie James Marshall, Sr. departed this earthly life on February 21, 2022, in Rochester, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters: Elizabeth, Mary and Peggy and one brother, Clarence.

He leaves beautiful memories to be cherished by his loving family which includes his wife, Lillian; seven children: Pamela, Roderick, Willie Jr., Demetra, Latanza, Derrick and Travis; his grandchildren; his sisters and brother: Betty Fields (Roosevelt), Charlie Marshall, Sr. (Barbara) and Evangelist Barbara Law; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
