A Graveside Service for Mrs. Lizzie Mae Harper of Americus, Georgia will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lebanon Cemetery in Plains, Georgia. Due to COVID-19 concerns, we ask that you MASK UP and continue to practice social distancing for your protection and for the protection of others.

Mrs. Lizzie Mae Harper, affectionately known as “Liz” by family and friends, was born April 15, 1944, in Plains, Georgia to the late Mr. Tiney Glover and the late Mrs. Viola Williams Glover. She received her education from the Sumter County School System and was married to the late Adam Harper. Mrs. Harper worked as a Daycare provider for thirty years. She touched the lives of many young children and was a dedicated, hard worker. Liz loved and cared for children. She also had a special love for her family and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Lizzie Harper passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at her home in Americus, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Tiney Glover and Mrs. Viola Williams Glover; her husband, Mr. Adam Harper, two brothers: Mr. Tiney Glover, Jr. and Mr. Herbert Glover; a sister, Ms. Viola Louise Glover; two grandsons: Mr. Ronkeyious T. Glover and Mr. Deontavius T. Glover.

She leaves precious memories to be cherished by her loving daughter, Ms. Evelyn Glover of Plains, Georgia; her grandson, Mr. Joe Kimbrough, Jr. of Albany, Georgia; her adopted granddaughter, Ms. Khalisha Jones of Americus, Georgia; one sister, Mrs. Lena Wilson of Plains, Georgia; one brother, Mr. Moses Glover of Detroit, Michigan; two sisters-in-law: Mrs. Mary Harper Alexander and Mrs. Alice Glover both of Jacksonville Florida; a brother-in-law, Mr. Kenneth (Faith) Harper of Brandon, Florida; devoted nieces: Ms. Carolyn Wilson of Plains, Georgia, Ms. Glenda Glover and Ms. Selena Glover both of Tampa, Florida, Mrs. Wanda (Troy) Sutton of Chester, Virginia, Ms. Niqusha Glover and Ms. Cindy Glover both of Americus, Georgia; two devoted nephews, Mr. Moses Glover, Jr. of Detroit, Michigan and Mr. Greg (Brenda) Glover; several devoted friends: Ms. Brenda (Jonathan) Battle, Ms. Dorothy (Walter) Bridges, Ms. Sally (Ray) Lassiter, Mr. Jackie (Rose) Franklin, Ms. Lillie Height and Ms. Diana Greene all of Americus, Georgia; a host of other relatives and friends.
