A Graveside Service for Mr. Esco Whitlock, III of Americus, GA will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Eastview Cemetery with Pastor George F. Monts officiating
Esco “Man” Whitlock, III was born on June 25, 1967 to Esco Whitlock Jr. and the late Mary France Whitlock in Americus, Georgia. He received his formal education from Americus High School in Americus Georgia. After high school, he went on to Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center in Morganfield, Kentucky where he obtain his GED and a Plumbing Certification. After leaving Job Corps, Esco returned home and began working at Harvey’s Grocery Store, where he eventually became a Stocking Manager.
To family Esco was known as “Man” and to friends, he was known as “Sco”. Those who truly knew him whether by “Man” or “Sco”, knew him to be a quiet soul but friendly and kind. Regardless of the name you called him, he enjoyed his life and lived his life to the fullest. Family and Friends who loved him, knows his faith was always in God. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Mary Frances. Esco died on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA.
Esco leaves to cherish his memories to his devoted family and friends. Father, Esco Whitlock Jr. of Smithville, GA; a son, Esco Mel Hurt and daughter, Pricilla Ann Hurt of Americus, GA; sisters: Pamela Denise Whitlock (Sherman) of Americus, GA, Linda Marie Smith (Jerome) of Americus, GA and Ashley Nicole Whitlock of Smithville, GA; brothers: Johnny Dean Durham (Terisa) of Americus, GA and Terrence Whitlock (Tamiko) of Albany, GA; grandchildren, Kikurhea Mumford and Jerimiah Tyson. A host of aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Special friends, Luther and Melissa Bess and John “Billy” Monts.
