Mr. Robert Lee Duncan III was born August 28, 1952 to the late Robert Lee Duncan II and the late Doris Taylor Duncan in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shereka Latrell Duncan and siblings Gary Duncan, Edna Duncan Brown, and Herman Duncan Sr.

Robert was educated at the historical D. F. Douglass High School of Montezuma, Georgia. Robert was united in holy matrimony on March 8, 1982 to the former Lorane Felton, and their union was blessed with five daughters. After utilizing his  unique skills and trade abilities to gain independent employment, Robert earned a Commercial Driver’s License and worked as a Commercial Vehicle Operator for the City of Montezuma for over 15 years.

There was never a “dull moment” in the presence of Robert, affectionately called “Boy.” He enjoyed making life-long memories among friends, family, and all that knew him well. He especially enjoyed cooking for his family and entertaining neighbors within his community. He was steadfast in expressing his desire of a better future for the generations that were to follow in his legacy; believing in the importance of their higher education, having a strong work ethic, determination, and a fighting will to succeed.

Robert spent much of his latter life as a long-term resident of Montezuma Health and Rehabilitation Center, where he always held a calming spirit, a witty sense of humor, and offered an infectious smile often enjoyed by his visitors and caregivers. He was  especially joyful when visited by his family and old friends, and when going on outings to his home-town of Marshallville, Georgia. His wife, daughters, and siblings were sure to get a big smile from him when strolling down memory lane!

He leaves treasured memories to his wife, Lorane Duncan; his beloved children, Vanessa King, LaSharne Felton (Antonio), Jennifer Duncan, all of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Adrian Duncan-Harris (Tim) of Kathleen, Georgia; his siblings, Delores D. Rice and Jimmy Duncan (April), both of Warner Robins, Georgia, and   Doris Duncan of Marshallville, Georgia, a host of in-laws, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
