The Funeral Service for Mrs. Willie Lou Haugabook of Montezuma, Georgia will be conducted Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at First Salem Baptist Church, Montezuma, Georgia with Pastor Jeffrey Randle officiating. Interment will follow on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Andersonville National Cemetery, Andersonville, Georgia.

Mrs. Willie Lou Haugabook, daughter of the late Archie and Cora Dean Wynn was born November 20, 1919 in Macon County, Georgia. She grew up in Montezuma and attended the public schools of the county. As an adult, she did further study at Southern Georgia Tech and became a Social Worker for The Macon County Department of Family and Children Services.

At an early age, Willie Lou confessed Jesus Christ as her personal savior and joined First Salem Baptist Church. She was a dedicated member and served as an usher and a missionary. On October 25, 1946, she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Joe Haugabook, III. They shared fifty-six beautiful years together.

Mrs. Willie Lou Haugabook departed this earthly life for sweet eternity with her Heavenly Father on November 18, 2019. She was one of twelve siblings and all have preceded her in death. She will be lovingly remembered for her caring, generous spirit, her willingness to help others, and her love for The Word.

Precious memories will always remain with her loving family which includes her nieces and nephews: Willie James Loftly, Joyce Thames, Paul Loftley, Leonard Wynn, Virginia Loftley, Terry Wynn, Katrina Waller, Rosa Allen, Cora Mae Wynn and Tony Martin; a host of great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends.
