The funeral service for Veteran Jerome Felton of Americus, Georgia will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Frist United Holiness Church in Montezuma, Georgia. Burial will follow at Champ Waters Cemetery. Jerome will lie in repose in Americus on Thursday from 2:00 to 7:30 and in Montezuma on Friday from 9:00 to 7:30.

Mr. Jerome Felton was born in Montezuma, Georgia on June 26, 1959 to the late Mr. Alonzo Woolfork and Ms. Josie Lewis. He was reared with loving care by Mrs. Dollie B. Felton. Jerome was educated in the Macon County school system. He is a graduate of the D.F. Douglass High School where he participated on the drumline. After high school, he joined the Georgia National Guard and served in the Infantry and Corps of Engineers from which he retired.

On March 27, 1981, he married the love of his life, Trenna Poole, and to this union four children were born. Jerome was a man that enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, motorcycle riding, and singing just to name a few. Later in life, he became a member of the First United Holiness Church where he attended and served until Our Father in heaven called him home. He is preceded in death by his mother Mrs. Dollie B. Felton, one brother Mr. Lonnie Woolfork, and one sister Ms. Gladys Felton.

Left to honor and cherish his memory are his mother, Ms. Josie Lewis; wife, Trenna Felton; four children: Kimesha Felton, Tiffany Felton, Cheri Felton and Shalisha (Kadeem) Williams; one granddaughter, “PaPa's baby” Ryleigh Kaye. He also leaves behind four brothers: Michael (Barbara) Felton of Montezuma, Georgia, Dennis (Betty) Thomas of Hartford Connecticut, Reginald (Brenda) Thomas of Hartford Connecticut and Darron Felton of Montezuma Georgia; five sisters: Anne Felton of Montezuma Georgia, Lisa (Arney) Bryant of Vienna, Georgia, Audrey Woolfork, Sharon (Jody) Beal and Amilia (Eric) Williams all of Montezuma, Georgia;  a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
