The Funeral Service for Teresa Brown Hannor of Oglethorpe, Georgia will be conducted Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 2:00 at Magnolia Baptist Church, Hosie Waters Street, Montezuma, Georgia with Reverend Hosie Waters officiating.

Ms. Teresa Ann Brown Hannor, “Reet”, as she was affectionately called, was the eighth child born to the late Reverend Lonnie Brown, Sr. and the late Mrs. Annie Ruth Whitfield Brown on March 30, 1961 in Montezuma, Georgia. She attended the public schools of Macon County and was a 1979 graduate of D.F. Douglass High School, Montezuma, Georgia.

 At an early age, Teresa professed her faith in Jesus Christ and became a member of Brown Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She grew up in the church and was a faithful member. On March 6, 1980, Teresa gave birth to her first born, Gabriel “Speedy” Brown. Teresa was united in Holy Matrimony to Curla Hannor, Sr. in 1984. To this union, two children were born: Curla Hannor, Jr. and Brandon Hannor. Teresa transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Lonnie Brown, Sr. and Mrs. Annie Ruth Whitfield Brown, her sister, Ruth Ann Jordan and three brothers: Tyrone Brown, Reverend Lonnie Brown, Jr. and James Brown.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her loving children: Gabriel Terrell Brown of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Curla Hannor (Constance) of Chesapeake, Virginia and Brandon Bernard Hannor of Virginia Beach, Virginia; four grandchildren: Gabrielle Felton, Amaya Warren, Anisha Hannor and Ayana Hannor; siblings: Reverend Bobby Brown (Flora) and Reverend Ruben Brown (Dr. Crystal) of Fort Valley, Georgia, Donald Brown of Oglethorpe, Georgia and Rodney Brown of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law:  Treny Brown, Dorothy Brown, Laura Hubbard (Anias), Carolyn Hannor and Cassander Hannor of Montezuma, Georgia, Mary Kate Gray of Bronx, New York, John Henry Hannor (Annie Bell) of East Point, Georgia, Mary Louise Mathis of Niagara Falls, New York, James Henry Hannor and Lunell Hannor McDonald of Oglethorpe, Georgia ; aunt and uncle: Dollie Larry West of Montezuma, Georgia and Billy Journey ( Delores) of Atlanta, Georgia; great aunts: Mary Lizzie Brown of Marshallville, Georgia and Bernice Brown of Miami, Florida; a devoted friend, Jackie Barnes; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

I know losing a love one in death is very sad but we can all take comfort in the scriptures (John 5:28,29).When the almighty God Jehovah resurrect them back to life. I am so sorry for your loss

Prayers for the Hannor family and my Brown family. Trusting that our God is all-knowing and makes no mistakes; I am prayerful that we will find peace in our hearts that only our Lord and Savior can give during this time of sorrow. It is well... Love and Prayers to all! ♥️

To the family and friends of Mrs. Hannor, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your precious loved one. May you find a measure of comfort in knowing that soon, "death will be no more". (Revelation 21:3, 4)
