Funeral services for Mr. Jeffery “Tang” Jerome Smith of Montezuma, Georgia will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11:00 at Second Salem Baptist Church, Montezuma, Georgia with Elder William Lloyd, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Jeffery Jerome Smith was born on May 3, 1968 in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia to Shirley Ann Lloyd and Sammie Smith. Jeffery was educated in the Macon County public school system at the historic D.F. Douglass High School in Montezuma, Georgia. Tang, as he was affectionately called, was known in the community as a “handyman” and was a member of Second Salem Baptist Church.

Tang was beloved by his family, friends, and the community. He passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Ann Lloyd and his brother, Kevin Hart Lloyd.

Cherished memories are left with his father, Sammie Smith of Montezuma, Georgia; two loving brothers: Ronnie Lloyd of Atlanta, Georgia and William Lloyd, Sr. (Telisa) of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister-in-law, Wyvette Simpson-Lloyd of Montezuma, Georgia; his devoted companion, Denise Miller of Montezuma, Georgia; aunts: Elsie Martin, Betty Solomon, Mary Hammock, Anna Ree Allen, Patricia Ann Simmons, and Hattie Mae Eley; one uncle, Thomas Sanders; his devoted caretakers: Karen and Ralph Oliver; his Godbrothers: Ralph Oliver II and Lazensky Oliver; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; several dedicated and devoted friends including: Johnny Kaigler, Connie Walker, Peggy Fudge, Adell Quinn, Jackie Sutton and Edmond “Rap Bone” Journey. His devoted friend, Timmy Kaigler preceded him in death.

My condolences to the family. I know this is a sad time for the family but the almighty God gives us comfort when he tells us at John 5:28,29 that there will be a resurrection of our love ones in the near future. I am so sorry for your loss.
