Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Renee Patterson of Montezuma, Georgia will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 2:00 in the Chapel of West’s Mortuary in Americus, Georgia with Rev Troy Fripp officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellaville, Georgia.
Mrs. Joyce Renee Patterson was born on November 10, 1981 in Americus, Georgia to Audrey L. Taylor and Roy Yarbrough. She was employed as a bartender. On July 23, 2013 she married Avian Patterson. She was preceded in death by an uncle, Richard Taylor. Joyce passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Avian Patterson; three children: DaShaun A. Jones, MaaLiyah A. Patterson and Jayla Catalina-Skai Patterson; seven siblings: Kenyatta Sims, Angela King, Jerry Shane Jordan, Michael Price, Susan Pittman, Ronnie Hall and Tonya Barrett; her parents: Audrey (Rickey Felker) Taylor and Roy (Donna Bailey) Yarbrough; her grandparents: Roy Yarbrough, Juanita Yarbrough, Leon Taylor and Doretta Taylor; mother & father-in-law, Patricia & Jerome Jackson; aunts & uncles: Elaine Ray, Diane Fowler, Peggy Barfield, Vera Williamson, Jerry Taylor and Joyce Fountain; sister-in-law, Nadis Jackson-Baker (Marcel); brothers-in-law: Jason Patterson, Keithon Patterson (Melissa) and Anthony Jackson (Kandice). Several other relatives and friends also survive.
