Funeral services for Mr. Asberry Johnson Jr. of Dawson, Georgia will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Jerusalem Baptist Church in Dawson, Georgia with Rev. Willie Pearman officiating. Burial will follow at the Sardis Cemetery. Mr. Johnson died Saturday night at the Wilson Hospice House in Albany Georgia.
Mr. Asberry Johnson Jr. was born on December 10, 1938 in Dawson Georgia to Gladys Ruth Johnson and Asberry Johnson Sr. Mr. Johnson was employed for over 30 years at Oxford Construction Company. On April 26, 1959 he married Ms. Johnnie Pearman.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 56 years, Mrs. Johnnie Johnson of Dawson, Georgia; his children Randy (Filicia) Johnson of Americus, Georgia, Anthony Johnson of Sylvester, Georgia, Samuel Johnson of Hawaii and Sandra Johnson of Connecticut; one sister Patricia Johnson of New Jersey; two grandchildren Alycia Johnson of Hawaii and Christon Johnson of Americus, Georgia; several other relatives and friends including a devoted friend Britt Crawford also survive Mr. Asberry Johnson.
