Funeral services for Mr. King McCray of Brinson Street Americus, Georgia will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Marthanna Living Way of Christ with Pastor Lem Wright officiating. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery.
Mr. King McCray was born on July 4, 1940 in Lee County, Georgia to the late Willie Lou and Howard McCray, Sr. He was educated at the Cheokee School. At the age of sixteen he moved to Florida and later moved to Zion IL. In 1973 he moved back home to Georgia and was employed for several years as a truck driver for Underwood Trucking. Mr. McCray died on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Johnny Will McCray.
He is survived by a son, Terrance Walker of Americus, GA and a step-daughter Cassandra Walker also of Americus, GA; seven brother & sisters: Howard McCray, James & Dorothy McCray all of Leslie, GA, Arthur Lee McCray of Desoto, GA, Raymond & Cynthia McCray and Annie Ruth Thomas all of Americus, GA, Mary Lou Davis of Smithville, GA and Joel & Iris Hall of Pensacola, FL; A devoted nephew Gregory Daniels of Americus, GA; six grandchildren: Markita Walker, Jarvis Brown, Kourdrick Whitehead, Tywun Jackson, Ny’Keria Walker and Jaheim Walton; his extended family, the Walker family and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
