Funeral services for Mr. Richard Law, Jr. of Perry Georgia formerly of Montezuma, Georgia will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the New Hope Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery

 

Mr. Richard Law, Jr. was born on May 23, 1950, in Macon County, Montezuma, Georgia to Mary L. Cromer and the late Richard Law, Sr.  He grew up in Macon County, Georgia and was educated in the public school system of Macon County. Richard attended Flint River Farm School, and later moved to Rochester, NY, where he furthered his education. He was a member of the Red Devil Motorcycle Club.

 

At an early age, Richard joined New Hope Baptist Church, Montezuma, Georgia, under the leadership of Reverend D.L. Terry. In July of 2004 he was employed with Allen’s Canning Company as a forklift operator. On October 3, 2003 he was united in holy matrimony to Anner Pearl Ellis. He was a very faithful, dedicated and devoted husband.

 

Mr. Law departed this earthly life on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at his residence in Perry, Georgia with his family by his bedside. There is a joy beyond all bonds of sorrow. There is hope beyond all grief and tears. There is a place that is found in that tomorrow and hope of that eternal life, we shall beckon beyond the years.

 

He leaves to cherish his sweet and loving memories a loving and devoted wife  of nine years,  Anner Pearl Law, whom he loved and cherished dearly; his mother, Mary L. Cromer of Detroit, Michigan;  his children: Ricky Law of Atlanta, Georgia, Eric Law (Lisa) of Fort Valley, Georgia, Ulonda L. Reese (Jason) of Montezuma, Georgia and their mother, Evangelist Barbara Law; his grandchildren: Tahj Reese and Alysia Law of Montezuma, Georgia and Eric Law, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brothers: Larry Darnell Cromer of Atlanta, Georgia and James Cromer of Rochester, New York; Godfather, Robert (Mildred) Ladd of Montezuma, Georgia; uncle, George Law of Oglethorpe, Georgia; aunts: Carol Cromer of Detroit, Michigan and  Erma Hankerson of Oglethorpe, Georgia;  a loving and caring Spiritual Sister, Ms. Betty J. Stephens; stepchildren: Tara Ellis, Tawanda Ellis and Michael Joiner all of Perry, Georgia;  very dear friends: Curtis Sanders of Fort Valley, Georgia, Rance Kendrick of Oglethorpe, Georgia and Virgil Williams of Fort Valley, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
