The funeral service for Mrs. Angela Francine Ingram of Americus, GA will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Restoration Church of Americus, GA with Pastor George Edge officiating. Burial will follow Eastview Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Angela Francine Rouland Ingram was born on May 5, 1967 in Sumter County Georgia to the parents of Emmett "Jack" Rouland and Lorene Rouland {Willie} all of Americus. Angela was known to many as “Pookie”.She matriculated through the public school systems of Sumter County where she received her High School Diploma from Americus High School in 1985.. She then married Carl "Monk" Ingram where they remained married for 30 years. During their lifetime, she and Carl loved to watch sports together and they were huge fans of the NFL and NBA, and she would often attend the SGCT jets home basketball games. She also loved to cook and to go fishing with friends and family and she loved to make sure that everyone around her would end up with a smile on your face. She was very helpful to those whom she thought were in need and always offered a helping hand. She has held several jobs including Cooper Lighting and Middle Flint Behavioral Healthcare where she spent many years working until her health failed. She was also a regular patience at the Davita Dialysis where she was known for being funny and opinionate.  She was preceded in death by her husband Carl "Monk" Ingram; sister, Teresa Rouland, and sister-in-law Yvonne Thompson. She departed her life at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center on May 22, 2018.

 

Angela “Pookie” Rouland Ingram was a devoted daughter, mother, wife, sister, aunt, and cousin to many. She leaves to cherish her memories, two loving daughters: Sekeithia “Keekee” Ingram and Brittany Danielle Ingram both of Americus, GA; two loving sisters: Shonda Rouland, Douglas, GA and Melissa Rouland, Atlanta, GA; one brother, Emmanuel Williams;  two devoted cousins: Tre’Yana Dodson and Kharma Jones, whom she loved and cared for dearly; several devoted family members including: Shatoro Rouland, Roderick Rouland, Tasha Rouland, Janice (Curtis) Terry, Lucinda Nelson, Mamie Baker-Henton, Wallace (Trina) Ingram; several devoted nieces and nephews including: Shabrika Rouland, Jontavis Rouland, Scyjauna Rouland, Lapree Rouland, Desmond Hamilton, Quincy Rouland, and Jalyn Rouland; sisters-n-law; Rita Ingram, Americus, GA and Sherrand Manigualt, Brandywine, MD; brothers-in-law: Hollis (Mary) Douglas, Sr. Terrell (Edith) Ingram, Lonnie Munson, all of Americus, GA, Curtis Ingram, Horace (Dominique) Munson, Joe Ingram, Andrew Keith Munson; several other devoted family members include: Terri Wooden, Shemeka Ingram, Demetreon Ingram and Rani Waymon; uncles and aunts include: Fred (Barbara) Rouland, James (Eula) Rouland, Marion Rouland, Raymond Rouland, John Rouland, Elmo Jr. Rouland, Jerry (Eva) Rouland, Angie Rouland, Vera Rouland, Earnestine Rouland, Maime Baker, and Lula Dodson; devoted friends include: Janice Rowell, Andreka Mann-Streeter, and Angel “Mookie” Green. And a host of other relatives and friends also survive.

Mr. James Arthur Porter "Pee Wee"

Mr. James Arthur Porter, affectionately known as “Pee Wee” was born on December 14, 1953 in Americus GA to the late Cleve Porter Sr. and the late Gladys Hart. He was the third of eleven children. He was preceded in death by one brother Steven Porter, a sister, Earnestine Hartage and a brother-in-law Ronald Hart. “Pee Wee” passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Fellowship Baptist Church on the Tommy Hooks Road in Americus, GA.

He leaves to mourn his passing a devoted son, Anthony Terrell Smith; four sisters: Patricia (Tyrone) Kearse of SC, Judy Key (Eddie) Americus. GA, Jennifer (Reginald) Carter of Americus, GA and  Betty Daniely of Fort Valley GA; seven brothers: Cleveland (Donnie) Porter, Charles Hart of Americus, GA, Tommy (Pat) Hart of Atlanta, GA, Jessie (Daphana) Hart, Johnny (Mishell)  Hart and Donald (Phyllis) Hart of Fort Valley, GA; one uncle, Charlie Ingram; one sister-in-law, Robin Porter of SC; two grandchildren: Andrrice Smith both of  Jaylen Davis Americus; one great grandchild, Paisley Merritt; two devoted cousins: Betty Jo Ingram Williams and Adrian Ingram; a devoted  friend, Latrina Bess. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins and friends also survive.

Mr. Marvin Jones

Mr. Marvin Kirk Jones formerly of Americus, Georgia died on May 18, 2018 at Coliseum Medical Center in Macon Georgia. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 1:00 in the Chapel of  West's Mortuary at 731 N. Lee Street Americus, GA.

Mr. Marvin Kirk Jones was born on October 10, 1954 in Dougherty County, Georgia to the late Walter and Sallie Jones. He was a member of Mount Mariah Freewill Baptist Church.

He is survived by four children and one step son. Several other relatives and friends also survive.

The funeral service for Mr. Oscar William Ross, Jr. of Americus, Georgia will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Big Bethel Baptist Church, N Jackson Street, Americus, Georgia with Pastor Calvin Rollins officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastview Cemetery.

Mr. Oscar William Ross, Jr. was born on July 19, 1962 in Americus, Georgia to the late Oscar William Ross, Sr. and the late Theodoshia Clark Ross. He was educated in the public school system of Sumter County. Oscar enjoyed cooking on the grill, watching basketball and football, and socializing with others. He passed away peacefully at the Phoebe Sumter Hospital on May 7, 2018.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Yasmin (Brittany) Lundyn of Americus, GA; his son, Jeremiah Thomas of Americus, GA; his granddaughter, Adrienne Lundyn of Americus, GA;  two devoted sisters: Eula (Edgar) Butts and Carolyn Ross both of Americus, GA; three devoted brothers: Mark (Cheryl) Johnson of Albany, GA,  Sammie (Alexa) Ross of Americus, GA and Al (LaToya) Ross of Americus, GA; his nephews, Deon (Tawanna) Ross, Sammie Ross, Jr. Reggie Ross, Savon Ross, and Eran Sims all of Americus, GA and Damon Ross of San Diego, CA; his nieces: Na’Porshia Beason of Albany, GA, Karmon Ross of Americus, GA and Tameka Ross of San Diego, CA; his aunts: Elfleata Clark, Tina Clark and Addie Colbert; devoted cousins: Kimberly Clark, Bobby (Sally) Hartage, Teresa Hartage, Bobby (Kisha) Colbert and Johnnie Mathis; his God-mother, Eddie Rhea Walker; devoted friends: Alexander McCoy, Jermaine Reddick, Tim Wallace, Cassandra Thomas and Sharronda Ross; a host of other relatives and friends also survive.

Mr. Donald Idlette

The funeral service for Mr. Howard Donald Idlette of Americus, GA will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00 at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church. Burial will follow at the Mountain Creek A.M.E. Church Cemetery.

Howard Donald Idlette, son of the late Mrs. Annie Maude Idlette Caldwell, was born on October 2, 1952 in Americus, Georgia.  Donald grew up on the farm where he worked with his family. At an early age he joined the Mountain Creek African Methodist Episcopal Church.He was educated in the Sumter County School System and graduated from Union High School in 1972. Upon graduation, he started driving school buses and did not miss a day except for the flood of ‘94. His was also employed at Scott Bedding and McCurley's Service Station. He drove school buses for forty-two years and retired from the Sumter County School System Transportation Department in 2015. Manicuring and Landscaping his yard as well as auto mechanics were his hobbies. He worked hard and wanted the work he had done to speak for him. He was truly a no-nonsense man. He took great pride in his work, as both the bus and his yard were immaculate.He loved his wife, children and all his family members. He and Juanita reared Kadarious (grandchild) as their own. Howard passed on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia. He was preceded in death by one brother James Hayward Idlette and a brother-in-law Aaron (Evelene) Baker.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 35 years, Juanita Baker Idlette of Americus, GA; two children: Jocelyn Renee (Broderick) Idlette-Waters of Tampa/Clearwater, FL and Christopher Reid Idlette of Americus, GA; siblings: Annie Louise (William) Gamble of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Shirley (Floyd) Toombs of Albany, GA, Hansford (Willie Ann) Idlette of Americus, GA, Marilyn Idlette Noble of Americus, GA and Richard Mark (Samantha) Idlette of Leesburg, GA; brothers-in-law: Alphonso (Tammy) Baker of Americus, GA and James (Earnestine) Baker of Augusta, GA; sister-in-law, Ella Ruth Dodson of Americus, GA; grandchildren: Kadarious J. Idlette and Amari T. Waters; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Mr. Henry Lewis Haliburton of Montezuma, Georgia will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. at Freerun Baptist Church, Reynolds, Georgia with Pastor Alvin Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery   

Henry Haliburton was born on June 9, 1952 in Reynolds, Georgia to Elma "Sister" Carson Troutman and Limmie T. Haliburton. He attended the public schools of Macon County and was a graduate of D.F. Douglass High School. Henry was united in marriage to Gail Hooks on September 29, 1979. Henry passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at his residence.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Gail Hooks Haliburton of Montezuma, Georgia; three sisters: Lucy B. Reynolds of Reynolds, Georgia, Eva Mae Hicks of Hartford, Connecticut and Juanita (Raymond) Green of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Terri (Andre) Hunter, Keisha (Ricardo) Ricketts, Franshayla Hooks, Timothy Hooks and Shannon Johnson all of New York; uncles: Willie C. (Mary Ann) Haliburton of Rex, Georgia, Smith "Tom" (Eva) Haliburton of Atlanta, Georgia and Tom Pete "Bill" Haliburton of Decatur, Georgia; very devoted cousins: Horace Montford, Bertha Mae Barron and Dianne Walters; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. John Allen, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. John Paul Allen Jr of Americus, GA will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. at the Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Cladd officiating.

Mr. John Paul Allen Jr. was born on Dec. 29, 1963 in Americus, GA. to the parentage of the late Deacon Paul Allen and Beulah M. Barner.  He received his education in the Americus School System and graduated with the class of 1982.  From 1983 until 1988 he served in the United States Army Reserves.  From 1988 until 1994 he went active duty in the United States Army, serving in the 3rd Battalion 8th Infantry Regiment Division where he received the Army Achievement Medal.  In 1996 until 2000 he joined the Americus Police Department where he received many awards.

He was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Jeston D. Allen, a brother James Allen, grandparents; Mrs. Doshie Spencer, James E. Ford, Mrs. Laura Allen and Mr. Saul Allen. John passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 1, 2019 at the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA

He is survived by three daughters: Kierra Polk and Aliyah Allen, Plains, GA, Madison Ingram, Americus, GA; one son, Jarrius Cladd, Americus, GA; eight sisters: Mrs. Pauline (John) Wade, Americus, GA, Mrs. Joann (William) Johnson, Augusta, GA, Ms. Glorielle Barbary, Ms. Sandra Wiggins, Ms. Shirley Allen, Mrs. Angela (Dewayne) Williams all of Americus, GA, Mrs. Erika (Tyrone) Davis, Plains, GA; one brother / devoted friend, James Walters;  neice/daughter of whom he help raise, Ms. Tanaisha Clark a stepmother, Annie M. Allen;  three uncles: Mr. Henry Spencer, Americus, GA, Mr. Willie James Allen, Atlanta, GA and Mr. James (Virginia) Allen, Americus, GA; seven aunts: Mrs. Dorothy (Walter) Bridges, Ms. Sallie White, Americus, GA, Ms. Laura Queenie, Brooklyn, NY, Ms. Daisy Allen, Hartford, CT, Ms. Mildred Palmer, Mrs. Mary Ann Mckenzie (James), Ms. Emma M.
