The Funeral Service for Eddie Frank Stephens, of Connecticut, will be held on March 24, 2023, in Windsor, Connecticut at the Carmon Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middleton, Connecticut.

Eddie Frank Stephens was born July 8, 1944, in Sumter County Georgia. He grew up Americus and was educated in the Sumter County Public School System.

Eddie served in the U. S. Air Force and the U. S. Army. After completing his tours of duty with the military, he returned to Americus, Georgia where he married and started his family. Shortly thereafter, he moved his family to Hartford Connecticut. He was a member of Bethel AME Church in Bloomfield, Connecticut and was employed with Colts Firearms until his retirement.

Eddie passed away on March 3, 2023, in Bristol, Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his mother Thelma, his father Calvin, a son Eddie Jr., a sister Georgia, and two brothers James and Felton.

He leaves precious memories to be cherished by his son, Calvin; two brothers: Claude (Mary) Johnson of Bloomfield, Connecticut and Douglas (Debra) Johnson of Powder Springs, Georgia; a devoted niece, Gwynelle (Lewis) of Glen Burnie, Maryland; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

We are sorry to hear that we have lost Eddie Frank to that enemy death. May the family find strength in each other and the Almighty God to help ease the pain. Our love goes to the family for strength and comfort. The Coley Family in Americus and the McDonald Family in Hartford, Connecticut all send their love.

My sincere condolences to the entire family. Eddie Mae, his wife, was my classmate and naturally we all were friends. Eddie Frank was always easy going and such a gentleman. May God bless all of you and keep you close during this difficult time. My prayers are with all of you.
