The Funeral Service for Mr. Jessie Chadrick Johnson of Riverdale, Georgia will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Brown Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Montezuma, Georgia. Interment will follow in Brown Chapel Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 concerns, we ask that you MASK UP and continue to practice social distancing for your protection and for the safety of others.

Jessie Chadrick Johnson, affectionately known as “Chad”, was born on November 24, 1988 in Atlanta, Georgia to Ms. Candice Maria Johnson. At an early age, he gave his life to Christ and became a member of Brown Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where he attended Sunday School and sang in the choir. Chad received his education from the Macon County School System and received his GED at South Georgia Technical College in Americus, Georgia. He was a chef at several sports bars in the Fulton County area. Chad passed away on February 19, 2023. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jessie Johnson.

Chad leaves beautiful memories to be cherished by his mother, Candice Johnson of Riverdale, Georgia; his grandmother, Lena Perkins Johnson of Montezuma, Georgia; six children: Lyrik, Jada, Zacobie, Telicia, Seven and Santana; his siblings: Tevin Johnson (Terena) of Lithonia, Georgia, Najee Johnson of North Carolina and Jymaria Johnson of Riverdale, Georgia; his aunt, Shaxda Flythe (Daniel Little) of Flint, Michigan; first cousin, Celena Flythe of Flint, Michigan; two uncles: Reverend Joe Johnson, Jr. of Waycross, Georgia and Booker Daniels of Tallahassee, Florida; his niece, Tameya Johnson of Lithonia, Georgia; great-aunts and great-uncles: Lillian Perkins Butler of Decatur, Georgia, Claude Perkins of Riverdale, Georgia, Richard Perkins, Meredith Hodo, and Bruce Palmer of Montezuma, Georgia, Ernest Perkins, Sr. (Sharon)  and Jackie Palmer of Atlanta, Georgia, Janet Taylor (John) of Rochester, Michigan, and Josephine Duman of Griffin, Georgia; a host of loving cousins, other relatives and friends.
