The Graveside Service for Mrs. Geneviena L. Towns Jackson will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Whiteline Street, Montezuma, Georgia with Pastor Jerry Sanders officiating. Due to COVID-19 concerns, we ask that you mask up and continue to practice social distancing for your protection and for the protection of others.

Geneviena Towns Jackson was born on June 23, 1968, in Dooling, Georgia to Ruby G. Towns and J.C. Adams. GiGi, as she was affectionately called, attended the Dooly County School System and later received her GED in Atlanta, Georgia. At an early age, she accepted the Lord as her Savior. Geneviena was always a hard, dedicated worker. She loved cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

On August 6, 2022, GiGi grabbed her wings to heaven in Montezuma, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby G. Towns; her brother and sister: Marquis D. Towns and Susie M. Towns; and her grandparents: Annie Kate McClendon and John Gordon.

GiGi leaves precious memories to be cherished by her husband, Donald James Jackson of Montezuma, Georgia; their children: Ramsey Jackson, Christina Smith and Jerrell Jackson; four grandchildren: Malaysia McLawrence, Amira Jackson, Mariah Wallace and Nova Jackson; fifteen siblings: Tharetha Towns, Annie R. Towns, Christopher A. Towns, Mahalie Clark, Payton Lango, Betty Merrell, Maenell Hardrick, Alzona Adams, Ruthie Mae Adams, Curtis Adams, James Adams, Bernell Adams, Lucy Adams, Jerome Adams, and Rolie Adams; her aunts and uncles: Victoria McClendon, Eddie F. Simmons (Robin), and Glenn McClendon (Gloria); her great-aunt, Flora Robinson; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Fredrick Jackson, Landis Ogburn, Emma Jean Jackson, and Bernice Jackson-Barrett; three special friends: Lisa Brown, Jacqueline Felton (Damon) and Erika Lester; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
