The Graveside Service for Mr. Sammie Walker affectionately known as “Wheelbarrow” will be held Friday, July 8, 2022 at 2:30 P.M. at Staley Memorial Gardens with Rev. H.C. Wilson officiating,

On July 2, 1954, our beloved Mr. Sammie Ragans Walker was born in Sumter County, Georgia to the late Mrs. Winnie Ragans. He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. On Monday, July 4, 2022, he transitioned from this life to life eternal. While his presence will be profoundly missed, as family we rejoice in knowing his life has impacted so many people in such a special way. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Mrs. Ann Laster and brother, Mr. Lewis Carey Walker Ragans.

He leaves many wonderful memories to his loving and devoted children: Mr. Courtland (Tamika) Walker of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Mr. Fabian (Gloria) Walker of McDonough, Georgia, and Mr. Antorius (Lakisha) Merritt Sr. and children of Macon, Georgia; his former wife, Ms. Deborah Walker Mason; his beloved grandchildren: Julius Porter, Fabian Walker Jr., Courtland Walker Jr., Courtney Walker, and Ava Walker; his beloved sisters: Virginia Fench of Atlanta, Georgia, Sandra Rudolph of Americus, Georgia, and Cynthia (Jeffery) Dillard of Atlanta, Georgia; his devoted brother-in-law, Mr. Willie Laster; several cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
