A Memorial Service for Shalisa Devon Lamar will be held Friday, May 13, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at Andersonville National Cemetery.
Shalisa Devon Lamar was born on January 11, 1970 in Hartford Connecticut to Addie Jeanette Lamar and Roscoe Lamar Jr. At an early age, she joined Big Bethel Baptist Church in Americus, Georgia. Shalisa graduated from Americus High School and was a veteran of the United States Navy. Shalisa was a free spirit who loved people. She had a laugh and smile that would light up any room. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Samantha and Sabrina Mann; four brothers: Tarus Mann, Terrell Mann, Terry Lamar and Michael Brown.
Shalisa passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at the Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.
She is survived by three sons: Ryan Lamar-Dunnom, Terrellis Lamar and Jemarius Lamar; one granddaughter, Cephei Waters; her parents: Roscoe Lamar, Jr and Addie Jeanette Lamar; seven sisters: Stacie (Kyle) Walters, Erica (Bernard) Anthony, Tori (Brian) Davis, Rashonda Lamar, Fatima McCaskill, Tara Mann and Sherrie Trice; four brothers: Garrett Lamar, Tracey (Caprecia) Lamar, Rick (Tomeka) Mann and Octavius (Brittany) Billups; a devoted stepfather, Sammie Lee Mann Jr.; a devoted uncle, James Miles Jr.; a devoted aunt , Norwanna Miles; a devoted godmother, Athalene Walters; two devoted cousins: Valarie Coleman and Sharronda Williamson; a host of cousins, nieces and other relatives and friends also survive.
