A Graveside Service for Mrs. Betty Rogers will be Sat. Oct 16, 2021 at 11:00 at Eastview Cemetery in Americus, GA. Due to COVID-19 concerns, we ask that you MASK UP and continue to practice social distancing for your protection and for the protection of others.
On September 4, 1953, a precious soul, Betty Walton, was born to the parentage of the late Lugene Walton and Mary Brown Walton in Sumter County, Georgia.
She resided in West Palm Beach, Florida until moving back to Georgia in November of 2006. Betty was a graduate of Twin Lakes High School in 1971. After graduating, she went on to work for AT&T for 30 years. Later she moved to Americus, Georgia and was employed by Dr. John Marshall for eight years.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her mother, Mrs. Mary Brown Walton of Americus, Georgia; her devoted companion, Mr. Alfred Leaphart also of Americus, Georgia; two God-daughters: Brynne Pierce of Ft. Myers, Florida and Juanya Williams of Miami, Florida; two devoted friends: Ms. Octavia Bell of Del Ray Beach, Florida and Mr. Michael Rogers of Ellaville, Georgia; two devoted cousins: Ms. Mary Lucas and Mrs. Elaine (Larry) Goggins of Americus, Georgia; several other cousins, relatives and friends in Florida and New York also survive.
