The Funeral service for Mr. Bobby Darrell Baker of Americus, Georgia will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. on the lawn of West's Mortuary. Bobby Darrell Baker, Sr. was born November 10, 1964 to the late Mr. Charlie Will Baker, Sr. and the late Ms. Ruby Lee Baker in Sumter County, Georgia. Bobby was affectionately known as "Bob" by his family and friends. He was educated in the public school system of Sumter County. Bobby was a dedicated worker. His employment began at Horne Farms where he worked as a farmer for many years. He later worked installing air conditioners for Safe Air until his health failed. On September 12, 2021, with the quickness of the wind, he slipped away from those who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Darrell Baker, Jr; his brother, Charlie Will Baker, Jr. and his sister, Annette Wilson.
His precious memories will be forever cherished by his loving and devoted wife of 19 years, Ms. Gwendolyn Faye Baker and their children: Joshua D'Angelo Hill, Daquonta Jahiem Baker and M'Neviya Quonshonia Baker. Prior to his marriage, he shared five children with Ms. Patricia Rosales. The children left with cherished memories are: Cordarrell Jarod Baker, Ashley DeAmber Baker, Desiree DeAnna Shawntel Baker and Ruby Annette Baker. Other surviving relatives include a sister, Lonnie Ruth Baker of Jupiter, Florida; two brothers: Dwayne Baker of Jupiter, Florida and Alfonso Baker of Paduka, Texas; loving and devoted cousins: Floyd Robinson of Americus, Georgia and Stella Lusane of Americus, Georgia; a devoted niece, Sharon Manns of Americus, Georgia; devoted friends: Alfonso Williams of Americus, Georgia and Willie Latimore of Americus, Georgia; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive.
