The Graveside Service for Mrs. Carrie Green Irving will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Corinth Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 concerns, we ask that you MASK UP and continue to practice social distancing for your protection and for the safety of others.
Mrs. Carrie Green Irving was born on October 8, 1945, in Fort Gaines, Georgia to the parentage of Mrs. Inez Green and the late Deacon Bobby Lee Green. She accepted Christ at an early age as her personal Savior. Carrie attended the Old Corinth Baptist Church until she moved to Miami, Florida. There she joined the First Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health failed. She was employed with the Miami Jewish Nursing Home for many dedicated years until she retired.
On Friday, July 30, 2021, Carrie departed from her earthly to her heavenly home to be with the Lord. She is preceded in death by her father Deacon Bobby Green, a brother Bobby Green Jr., a sister Mattie Green Jones and a granddaughter Jimyla Irving.
Her life will be cherished by her loving and devoted husband of fifty-six years, Mr. Charles Irving of Houston Texas; four sons: Gerald (Edith) Green and Paul (Erica) Irving of Houston, Texas, Michael (Dee) Irving of Miami, Florida and Charles Irving Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; one daughter, Lisa Irving of Houston, Texas; her mother, Mrs. Inez Green of Americus, Georgia; four sisters: Hattie (Thomas) Ferguson, Barbara (Donald) Spikes, Shirley Johnson and friend Larry all of Americus, Georgia and Cynthia (Michael) Gilbert of Atlanta, Georgia; five brothers, Pastor Walter (Carolyn) Greene of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Bishop Willie (JoAnn) Greene of Miami Florida, Pastor Leroy (Sandra) Greene of Americus, Georgia, Pastor Joseph (Beverly) Greene of Kathleen, Georgia and David (Shunda) Green of Americus, Georgia; one aunt, Ms. Jimmie Green of Miami, Florida; twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, devoted cousins and a devoted friend, Pansy.
