The Graveside Service for Mr. Gene Myers, Sr. will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at New Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 concerns, we ask that you MASK UP and continue to practice social distancing for your protection and for the safety of others.

Mr. Gene Myers, Sr. was born October 29, 1956 in Americus, Georgia to the late Sampson and Annie B. Myers. After graduating high school, he served in the United States Army. After being discharged, he worked for the City of Americus. He was a member of the New Lebanon Baptist Church. Gene was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Dianne C. Myers, and to this union three children were born. On July 29, 2021 God looked down and whispered, "Suffer no more my child, come and rest". He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

He leaves to cherish his memories and celebrate his life, a devoted love and companion of thirty plus years,  Ms. Ella Harvey; a daughter, Lakeshia Myers; two sons: Gene (Tiffany) Myers, Jr. and Gregory Myers all of Americus, Georgia; one sister, Annie Doris (Elmer) Woodard of Newport News, Virginia; two brothers-in-law, R. L. Loud and Charles (Rosie) Cooper; four sisters-in-law, Van Freeman of Albany, Georgia, Jacqueline Hall, Sharon Cooper and Lisa (Tyrone) Thompson; five aunts: Ada Pearl Scovil of Clayton, Alabama, Mary Jane Johnson of Eufaula, Alabama, Clevie Dell Davis and Lottie McFolley both of Georgetown, Georgia and May Frances Moore of Warner Robins, Georgia; one uncle, Michael Freeman of Georgetown, Georgia; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Because of Gene and Ella's love, they became an extended family including sons and daughters: Stella Jackson, Diane Willis (Johnny Willis), Joe Jackson (Sharon), Tracy Manning, and Calvin Harvey (Gloria) all of Americus, Georgia; a special devoted grandson, Trikel Davis; a devoted nephew, Roderick Freeman; devoted caregivers: Valerie Flowers, Gloria Brown and Pierre Perkins; twenty-five grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A host of other loving relatives and friends also survive.
