The Graveside Service for Mr. Brandon Burney will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 8:45 a.m. at Eastview Cemetery in Americus, Georgia. Due to COVID-19 concerns, we ask that you MASK UP and continue to practice social distancing for your protection and for the safety of others.
Brandon Marquis Burney was born December 6, 1990 in Americus, GA to Tomekia (James) Champion and Edward Burney. He grew up in Americus, GA and was educated in the Sumter County School System.
At an early age he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior a he joined the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Americus, GA where he served on the Youth Usher Board. Brandon’s hobbies were joking and hanging with his cousins. He loved to eat sweets.
Brandon passed away on July 29, 2021 in Americus, GA. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Jesse Floyd, James L. Burney Sr., Clarence Johnson, Polly Mae Burney; great grandparents: Mattie Mae Terry; aunt Diana Ann Burney and uncle Bruce Champion.
Lovable memories of Brandon Marquis Burney will forever be cherished in the lives of his siblings; Brianna M. Burney, Kolsen E. Burney, Kirsten E. Burney of Americus, GA. stepmother Kimberly Woods of Americus, GA; stepsister, Lakeshia Champion of Atlanta, GA; his grandparents: Gwendolyn Terry of Americus, GA, Clarence (Sally) Sinkfield of Stone Mountain; aunts and uncles: Crystal Johnson, Twanda Floyd, Deborah (Sam) Jernigan, Yvonne (Eli) Tullis, Michael Terry, Jesse Floyd Jr., Marco Cannon, James Burney Jr., Montrell Burney and Walter Mable. Several other relatives and friends also survive.
