Funeral Services for Mr. Joseph Paschal of Americus, Georgia will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at 12:00 Noon at Andersonville National Cemetery, Andersonville, Georgia.  Due to COVID-19 concerns, we ask that you please MASK UP and continue to practice social distancing for your protection and for the safety of others. 

Joseph Paschal, affectionately known as “Red” to many of his friends and co-workers, was born on July 11, 1958 in Americus, Georgia to the late Otis and Annie Paschal.  At an early age he joined Old Shady Grove Baptist Church.  Joe was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Sumter County High School. He attended Tuskegee Institute, where he received his degree in Math & Science. He served in the United States Air Force from 1982-1987 as a 1st Lieutenant and a Communications Systems Officer.

Joe was a very private person. His hobbies consisted of staying home, buying scratch off tickets, wagering on sports, talking to his sisters and enjoying life as he pleased. He passed from labor to reward on July 28, 2021 at his residence. He was preceded in death by a brother, Otis Paschal, Jr.  

Memories of Joe will be cherished by his son, Ari Rmand Paschal of Severn, Maryland; one brother, Milton Paschal of Montezuma, Georgia; four sisters: Florence Royal (Bobby), Annie R. Pinder both of Miami. Florida, Christine Phillips of Louisville, Kentucky and Shirley Jones of Americus, Georgia; a devoted aunt, Eula Breedlove of Americus, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

To the Paschal family and friends of Joseph, please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.  We grew up with the family and you are in my thoughts and prayers.  May Almighty God comfort each of you during this difficult time.  Sorry for your loss.
