Alan Terrell Coleman Sr., made his debut into this world on a bright sunshiny Tuesday, May 19, 1970 at 2:30 pm, to the parentage of Robert and Lodenia Waymon Coleman. He was baptized as a child by the late Presiding Elder Elijah Smith at Allen Chapel AME Church in Americus, GA.
In 1991 Alan married the love of his life Kam Shenell Williams. They later moved to Albany, GA, then to Macon where he trained as an amateur boxer and later became a Golden Glove Champion in 1996. However, the idea of acting and pursuing a career in commercials and films kept tugging at his heart. To further his acting career, in 2004 he moved his family to Atlanta, GA. He has played roles in the following movies: Good Behavior, Stan Against Evil, Atlanta, MacGyver, P-Valley, Prison Break, Queen Sugar and more. Alan had the opportunity to work with East Coast Talent in Rome, GA. His last role was as sheriff in Women of the Movement “The Emmitt Till Story” to be released in 2022.
In addition to his parents, Reverends Robert and Lodenia Coleman; wife Kam Shenell Coleman; his daughters: Alana (David) Moseley, Tangie (Aleem) Olayiwola and Corinne (Joel Poinsette) Coleman; his sons: Alan Terrell Coleman Jr. (AJ) and Quantavious Fletcher, all of Atlanta, GA; mother-in-law, Diane Williams, Americus, GA and father-in-law, Willie Allen, Atlanta, GA; one sister, Tiffany (Mario) Mitchell; one brother, Robert (Cherita) Coleman, II; seven grandchildren: granddaughters: Kymora, Kyleah, and Kyniah Barnes, Kyriel Olayiwola, and grandsons: Joel, Jace, and Jalen Poinsette; sisters-in-law: Aneika Williams and Gwendolyn Williams, Americus, GA, and Rosetta Allen of Atlanta, GA; 12 brothers-in-law including a special brother in law Johnny Frank Williams. Several other relatives include nieces, nephews, cousins, special family friend Linda Schneider, and acting agent Barbara Garvey.
