The Graveside Service for Mr. Adell "Pete" Joiner of Montezuma, Georgia will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, 8620 Highway 26 East, Montezuma, Georgia with Pastor Dr. Odell Joiner officiating. Due to COVID-19 concerns, we ask that you MASK UP and continue social distancing for your protection and for the safety of others.
Adell “Pete” Joiner, son of the late Lewis Benjamin “LB” and Mary Bell Russell-Joiner, was born June 8, 1944 in Montezuma, Georgia. “Pete” received his formal education at the D.F. Douglass High School. He had six siblings: Ethel Whitfield (deceased) Lewis Benjamin “Jr” Joiner (deceased), Juanita Joiner (deceased), Frederick Joiner (deceased), Mary Louise Joiner (deceased) and Willie C. Joiner.
“Pete” was united in holy matrimony to Ms. Johnnie Mae (Blasher) Joiner for 54 years. From their union, they were blessed with six children: Angela (Bruce)Greene of Montezuma, Georgia, Adell “Jr” Joiner (deceased), Odell (Pamela) Joiner of Bluffton, South Carolina, Tina (Robert) Gaffney of Kathleen, Georgia, Rita King (Jeremy Guyton) of Montezuma, Georgia, and Terri (Shakita) Joiner of Warner Robins, Georgia.
“Pete” was the maintenance supervisor at Agrilink Foods (formerly Southern Frozen Foods) for over 40 years. He was best known for his mechanical expertise. “Pete” was a faithful member of the Mount Zion Community Church, in Hawkinsville, Georgia where he was a dedicated member until his health began to fail. “Pete” was the “Patriarch” of his family. He blessed his family with an ABUNDANCE of knowledge and wisdom. “Pete” was known for his trustworthiness and dependability.
“Pete” departed this life and went into the arms of his Lord and Savior on January 20, 2021 at the Houston Medical Center of Warner Robins, Georgia. “Pete” leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, 5 children, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 brother, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
