The Funeral service for Mrs. Betty Ruth Collier Haynes is scheduled for Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Eastview Cemetery with Rev. Christopher O’Bryant officiating.

Mrs. Betty Ruth Collier was born on November 5, 1935 in Ellaville Georgia to the late Mrs. Addie Black Collier and the late Mr. Charlie Collier. She was employed as a Computer Technician at Alpha Metal and retired from there after 45 years of service. She was a faithful servant of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church of Jersey City, NJ where she served on the Usher’s Board, Florist Circle and Pastor’s Aid Committee for over 50 years. She was married to the late Mr. Marvin Haynes. Mrs. Haynes, surrounded by family and friends, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the home of her daughter in Americus, GA.

Mrs. Haynes is survived by her devoted daughter, Ms. Sylvia Jones of Americus, GA; two sisters: Mrs. Bernice Collier of Jersey City, NJ and Mrs. Celcia Patterson of Fort Pierce, FL; and three grandchildren: Kedrick Collier and Marvin Jones both of Americus, GA and Shanika Jones of Albany, GA; seventeen great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild all of Americus, GA; a devoted niece Ms. Pattie Jean Young of Americus GA and a devoted friend and companion of her daughter, Mr. Charles Ingram of Americus, GA.  Several other relatives and friends also survive

To the family and friends of Mrs. Betty Collier Haynes, please accept my condolences for your loss. Losing a loved one in death can really grieve the heart, but Jehovah God promises to swallow up death forever. (Isaiah 25:8) May the memories of love shared with Mrs. Betty comfort you now and in the days ahead.
