Ms. Alice Ruth Gordon of Americus, Georgia passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany Georgia. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Hope Baptist Church with Rev. George F. Monts officiating.
Alice “Ruth” Gordon was born January 20, 1959, in Sumter City, Georgia to the late Mr. Otha Lee Bradley and Mrs. Alice Bradley. She was educated at Plains High School in Plains Georgia. She was a faithful member of Zion Hope Baptist Church. Ruth retired from Magnolia Manor after 30+ years of dedicated service. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Herbert Wade Bradley and Richard Bradley and her niece, Tammy Robinson. Ruth peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany Georgia.
In addition to her mother, Alice Bradley, Alice “Ruth” is survived by her daughter, Anitra (Eric) Brown of Leesburg, Georgia; two step-daughters: Barbara Gordon and Maria Gordon, both of Leslie, Georgia; grandchildren: D’Erica Brown, Eric (Armani) Brown Jr., Jacquise Thomas, Jarvis Brown, Kouranick Whitehead, Erica (David) Thomas and D’Eria Clark; great-grandchildren: Amari Brown, Ryleigh Brown, Kyndall Hubbard, Marissa Hubbard, Brayson Hubbard, Ayvah Reddick, Alaiyah Reddick; her sister, Sandra Bradley of Sumter City, Georgia; her brother, Henry J. Bradley of Sumter City, Georgia; her aunt and uncle: Fannie Bradley and Andrew Clinkscales; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Estella Bradley, Deborah Law, Veronica Jones, Yolanda Dobbins, Teresa Clark, Cornelia Hall, Samantha Akinnubi, Elton Brown, Kenneth Gordon, Charles Brown and Henton Brown; nieces and nephews: Richard (Michelle) Burton, Takeeka (Etris) Smith, Dan (Brina) Bradley, Timothy (Sandra) Robinson, Thadeus (Mesha) Robinson, Dathan Bradley, Kashayla (Josh) Dennis, Darren (DJ) Davis, Tisha Robinson, Demetria Bradley, Tiffany Robinson, Titus Robinson and Troy Robinson; special friends: Evon Gordon, Ralph and Nancy Harvey, Martha Bridges and Gloria Waters; godchildren: Sonya (Darrin) Greene, Dallas (Donna) Brown and Shakiella Smith; a host of great nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends also survive.
