The Graveside Service for Mrs. Carrie Kaigler McGhee of Montezuma, Georgia will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Coley Clark officiating. Due to COVID-19 concerns, we ask that you please MASK UP and continue social distancing for your protection and for the safety of others.

On February 14, 1942, I was born to the late Johnny B. Kaigler, Sr. and the late Lottie C. Kaigler in Macon County, Georgia. I had one son, Derek. I was married to the late J.T. McGhee. I worked at Southern Frozen Foods for 42 years where I served as a supervisor. I was a faithful member of Zion Grove Baptist Church where I served as Mother of the Church. I was the Missionary Ministry Treasurer and an active member of the WMU (Women’s Missionary Union) with the Third District Baptist Association.

I loved my family, but I loved my Lord and Savior more. I journeyed home to be with him on December 3, 2020. I went home to meet my siblings: Willie Mae Ball, Michael Kaigler, Ola Mae Haslem, Mary Ola Bound, Beverly McGhee, Johnny B. Kaigler, Jr., and Louise Gardner. I also met my loving son, Derek Kaigler and my loving granddaughter Bianca Kaigler.

I leave here on Earth to cherish my memories: my granddaughter Briana Kaigler, great-granddaughter Katrice Kaigler and great-great-granddaughter Haleigh Kaigler all of Montezuma, Georgia; my adopted grandson, Kendall Simpson of Atlanta, Georgia; my siblings: Bettye McKenzie of Montezuma, Georgia, Annette Cotton of Ellenwood, Georgia, and Willie (Camille) Brown of Locust Grove, Georgia; my sister in law, Delphia Kaigler of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; two nieces who were like daughters: Delphine Solomon of Ellaville, Georgia and Darlene Taylor of Warner Robins, Georgia; a devoted cousin, Bertha Barron of Montezuma, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
