Graveside services for Mrs. Lucile Turner, 80, of Bethlehem, Georgia, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Green Acres Cemetery in Columbus, Georgia. Mrs. Turner passed away July 10, 2020 in Athens, Texas. Visitation will be held through our walk-up window Friday, July 17, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at West's Mortuary of Americus, Georgia.

Because of concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic, CDC Guidelines have limited the number of people that are allowed to attend services. We ask that you please practice social distancing and WEAR MASKS for your safety and the safety of others

Lucile Annetta (Holton) Turner was born June 13, 1940 in Ellaville, Georgia, the youngest of five children of Lucious Holton and Doshie (Tooke) Holton. She married the love of her life, Roland Benjamin Turner on December 27, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois and they were married for 33 years until he went to be with the Lord. She was a nurturing and wonderful mother to her children and was a lifelong believer in God. Lucile enjoyed shopping, playing bingo and most importantly, talking to family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roland Turner; and siblings, Mattie Haynes, Mary Holton and Henry Holton.

Survivors include children, Romel Turner of Bethlehem, Georgia, Rosonya Adil and husband Lance of McDonough, Georgia and Romya Turner McCright and husband Matthew of Athens, Texas; sister, Bessie Freeman of Americus, Georgia; and numerous beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family members and friends.
