The Graveside Service for Mr. Jeffery Burnam of Montezuma, Georgia will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Champ Waters Cemetery on Twin Churches Road, Montezuma, Georgia.

Because of concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic, CDC Guidelines have limited the number of people that are allowed to attend services to 10 or less including ministers and funeral staff. Please practice social distancing and WEAR MASKS for your safety and the safety of others.

Jeffery Burnam was born on March 8, 1961 to Ethel Mae Cochran Burnam and Tommie McClendon. He graduated from D.F. Douglass High School in 1979. His passion was traveling and driving trucks. Jeff was a longtime truck driver. He was a generous person who was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He enjoyed watching sports. His favorite team was the Atlanta Falcons.

On Friday, June 12, 2020, Jeffery transitioned from labor to reward at Phoebe Sumter Hospital, Americus, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Sammie Lee Cochran and his son-in-law, Johnny Ellison, Sr.   

Left to celebrate his life and cherish his memories are his daughter, Lashundra Burnam Ellison; grandchildren: Johnny Ellison, Jr. and Pete Rumph III; his brother, Eugene Burnam; sister-in-law, Mary Hardison-Cochran; three nieces: Eglecia Cochran, Carla Parker and Titisha Masten; a host of other relatives and friends.
