The funeral service for Mr. Havolia Walters of Americus, GA will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Allen Chapel AME Church. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery.

On January 20, 1951 Havolia Walters, Sr. was born in Sumter County, Georgia to the late Sammie Lee Walters Sr. and the late Irene Terry Walters. He was educated in the public school system and graduated from A.S Staley High School in 1969. He was a member of the A.S. Staley Magnificent Marching Band where he played the French Horn At an early age he joined the Jerusalem Baptist Church. He was married to the former Mrs. Barbara Ann Stewart Walters of Americus, GA. For several years Havolia worked as a welder and was employed at IMC Fertilizer Company and Caravelle Boats where he retired.

He was preceded in death by two daughters: Tameka Raquel Walters and Tabitha Walters; three brothers: Arthur Lee Walters, Eddie Lee Walters, Sr. and Sammie Lee Walters, Jr. and a nephew, Eddie Lee "Thick" Walters, Jr. Havolia passed peacefully on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Navicent Healthcare in Macon, GA.

Left to cherish his memory are two daughters: Tukeithia Michelle Walters of Warner Robins, GA and Tukeiko Charonta Walters of Americus, GA; one son, Havolia Walters Jr. of Warner Robins, GA; one brother, Darrell (Claudia) Walters of Americus, GA; three sisters: Deborah (LaMorris) Bell of Detroit, MI, Christine Walters of Americus, GA and Sekeithia Gayle Walters of Leesburg GA; one uncle, Aaron (Barbara) Walters, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA; ten grandchildren: Jarrion Wallters, Nikkolis Walters, Alexis Walters, Makayla Walters, Yasmin Johnson, Ebonie Mack, Destiny Walters, Kabron Wright, Lamia Wright and Chinika Walters; six nephews: Kahlif Walters, Travis Walters, Keith Tatum, Cedric Walters, Cortez Walters and Quintin Walters; six nieces: Tondrea Burton, Sekiethia Denise Wright, Iris Cummings, Shadarrien Walters, Christiany Walters, Angela Holt; a devoted friend Helen Jackson Tyner and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of another classmate.  I had so much fun with Havolia when we were in school many years ago. I pray that the family find strength in each other and the Almighty God to endure the difficult days ahead.
