The funeral service for Mr. Oscar William Ross, Jr. of Americus, Georgia will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Big Bethel Baptist Church, N Jackson Street, Americus, Georgia with Pastor Calvin Rollins officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastview Cemetery.

Mr. Oscar William Ross, Jr. was born on July 19, 1962 in Americus, Georgia to the late Oscar William Ross, Sr. and the late Theodoshia Clark Ross. He was educated in the public school system of Sumter County. Oscar enjoyed cooking on the grill, watching basketball and football, and socializing with others. He passed away peacefully at the Phoebe Sumter Hospital on May 7, 2018.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Yasmin (Brittany) Lundyn of Americus, GA; his son, Jeremiah Thomas of Americus, GA; his granddaughter, Adrienne Lundyn of Americus, GA;  two devoted sisters: Eula (Edgar) Butts and Carolyn Ross both of Americus, GA; three devoted brothers: Mark (Cheryl) Johnson of Albany, GA,  Sammie (Alexa) Ross of Americus, GA and Al (LaToya) Ross of Americus, GA; his nephews, Deon (Tawanna) Ross, Sammie Ross, Jr. Reggie Ross, Savon Ross, and Eran Sims all of Americus, GA and Damon Ross of San Diego, CA; his nieces: Na’Porshia Beason of Albany, GA, Karmon Ross of Americus, GA and Tameka Ross of San Diego, CA; his aunts: Elfleata Clark, Tina Clark and Addie Colbert; devoted cousins: Kimberly Clark, Bobby (Sally) Hartage, Teresa Hartage, Bobby (Kisha) Colbert and Johnnie Mathis; his God-mother, Eddie Rhea Walker; devoted friends: Alexander McCoy, Jermaine Reddick, Tim Wallace, Cassandra Thomas and Sharronda Ross; a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
