Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Edward Mack of Americus, Georgia will be Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at the Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. George F. Monts officiating. Burial will follow at the Eastview Cemetery.

His Humble Beginning
Thomas Edward Mack, (better known as Nunk) was born January 30, 1952 in the countryside of Smithville, GA. Thomas was one of seven children born to Annie Mae Mack and Fletcher Mack.
 
His Education/Schooling
Thomas received his early education in Sumter County Public Schools and later attended Roosevelt Institute in Warm Springs, GA where he received training in Tailoring men clothes.
 
His Work
In his early years, Thomas worked on the farm. He later worked as a Tailor, designing and making beautiful men and women clothing. Lastly he followed his passion for carpentry and home remodeling where he was constantly called upon to help many homeowners complete home remodeling and needed repairs which he did until his health failed.
 
His Spirituality
In his early years, Thomas was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Smithville, GA.  After relocating to Americus, he joined United Holiness Church where he was Baptized and served the church by singing with the choir. For many years, Thomas knew that he was out of the Ark of safety however when his health begin to fail, he realized that he needed the Lord so he rededicated his life to Christ and while in Lillian Carter Nursing Home, he was Baptized again by his cousin and best friend, Overseer, Benny Clark.
 
His Departure From This Life
Thomas departed this life Sunday, April 2, 2017. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted mother, Annie Mae Mack; his daughter Monica Pope, Grandchildren, Mychal Snipes and Jasmine Pope, Four Sisters: Ozie Wlbon (Henry) Rose Sims Mose (John) Mamie Riley, Geraldine Solomon (George), 4 Grandchildren, 13 nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded him in death, was his father, Fletcher Mack, brothers, Calonia Lee Mack and Fletcher Mack Jr., and Granddaughter Raven Simone Pope.

My condolences to the family. I am so sorry for your loss,the almighty god tells us to throw all our burdens on him because he cares for you at 1peter 5:7 if we do this it will help us to be able to endure what ever he allows.
